  1. What is RCMP fin­ger­print­ing or RCMP fingerprints?

    The fin­ger­print ser­vice pro­vided by a RCMP’s accred­ited and cer­ti­fied agency. World­wide Foren­sic Ser­vices Inc. is RCMP’s accred­ited and cer­ti­fied fin­ger­print­ing agency in Scar­bor­ough, pro­vid­ing elec­tronic fin­ger­print­ing ser­vices for civil purposes.

  2. I live over­seas and need police clear­ance from Canada. Do I have to come to Canada to sub­mit my fin­ger­prints or your com­pany can help to get clear­ance for me?

    You don’t have to come to Canada for this pur­pose. We can email you the required forms, you can get your fin­ger­prints taken on those forms and send them the orig­i­nals to us via reg­u­lar mail or courier. We will sub­mit your fin­ger­prints to the RCMP elec­tron­i­cally and the RCMP will send the results directly to you or a third party via reg­u­lar mail.

    You can walk in to our loca­tion or make an appoint­ment to get fast and friendly ser­vices at low­est rates.

  4. Do I need an appointment?

    Walk-ins are always wel­come; how­ever it is bet­ter to get an appointment.

  5. I applied for a police check and my appli­ca­tion was returned ask­ing for sub­mis­sion of my fin­ger­prints to the RCMP. What should I do?

    You can come to us for fin­ger­print­ing needs. We are accred­ited and cer­ti­fied by the RCMP for this pur­poses. We will take your fin­ger­prints dig­i­tally and sub­mit them to the RCMP elec­tron­i­cally. No hassles.

  6. What do I need to bring with me for fin­ger­print­ing services?

    You are required to bring two pieces of accept­able iden­ti­fi­ca­tion (one of them must be a photo ID) and the appli­ca­tion fees.

    All fin­ger­print­ing appli­cants for Cana­dian Cit­i­zen­ship must bring a let­ter from Cit­i­zen­ship and Immi­gra­tion Canada. This let­ter must include the address for 3rd party results and should have a CIC file num­ber which will be included in your trans­ac­tion. Please make sure you bring this let­ter with your per­ma­nent res­i­dence card for your fin­ger­print­ing session.

  8. Do you take fin­ger­prints on form C216C?

    Yes we do. We take fin­ger­prints with dig­i­tal scan­ner and elec­tron­i­cally trans­mit them as form C216C to the RCMP. You can get a hard copy at an addi­tional cost.

  9. Why elec­tronic fin­ger­prints are bet­ter that the tra­di­tional ink & roll fingerprints?

    Elec­tronic fin­ger­print­ing is much faster than the ink & roll fin­ger­print­ing. The RCMP nor­mally process elec­tronic fin­ger­print sub­mis­sions in 72 hours, as com­pared to the months taken for pro­cess­ing ink & roll fingerprints.

  10. How do I get my results?

    Your appli­ca­tion results can be sent directly to you or an autho­rized third party such as a fam­ily mem­ber, an employer, immi­gra­tion or par­dons agency etc.

  11. How can I find out the sta­tus of my appli­ca­tion once it has been sub­mit­ted to RCMP?

    The appli­cant can call us or send an email to con­firm suc­cess­ful sub­mis­sion of fin­ger­prints to RCMP. Unless autho­rized by the appli­cant, the RCMP does not release any fur­ther infor­ma­tion to World­wide Foren­sic Ser­vices Inc. The appli­cant or an autho­rized third party may inquire about the sta­tus of fin­ger­prints sub­mis­sion by con­tact­ing RCMP Fin­ger­print Screen­ing Ser­vices at 613–998‑6362 or by email civilnps@rcmp-grc.gc.ca

  12. Do you pro­vide fin­ger­print­ing ser­vice for get­ting police clear­ance from the other countries?

    Yes we do.

    There is no dif­fer­ence in the services.

  14. Do you pro­vide fin­ger­prints on FBI card (Form FD 258)?

    Yes we do. We are foren­sic pro­fes­sion­als and make sure that your fin­ger­prints pass the qual­ity tests of the FBI. Please visit our FBI Clear­ance Page.

  15. Do I need to bring FBI card with me for fin­ger­print­ing needs?

    You just have two bring valid IDs and applic­a­ble fees. We have FBI fin­ger­print cards and the required information.

  16. Do I need to sub­mit fin­ger­prints for Cit­i­zen­ship Application?

    You may be required to pro­vide a police clear­ance with fingerprints.

  17. Do I need to sub­mit fin­ger­prints for Immi­gra­tion Application?

    You may be required to pro­vide a police clear­ance with fingerprints.

  18. Do I need to sub­mit fin­ger­prints for an inter­na­tional adop­tion application?

    If you wish to adopt a child from a for­eign coun­try, you will be required to sub­mit police clear­ance with fingerprints.

  19. What is a Crim­i­nal Back­ground Check or a Crim­i­nal Record Check?

    A Crim­i­nal Back­ground Check is a search of RCMP National Repos­i­tory of Crim­i­nal Records to deter­mine whether an indi­vid­ual has a crim­i­nal record. The search is based on an individual’s name and date of birth. A crim­i­nal records check may also include a search of a Cana­dian police service’s local records, which may reveal crim­i­nal record infor­ma­tion that has not been reported to the RCMP.

  20. How can I get a Crim­i­nal Back­ground Check?

    You can walk-in to our loca­tion in Scar­bor­ough for name and date based back­ground check or fin­ger­print based back­ground check. You need to bring two pieces of accept­able ID and the applic­a­ble fees. Please visit ‘our rates’ page to get details about our fees.

  21. How fast I can receive the result of a crim­i­nal records check?

    Once an appli­ca­tion is sub­mit­ted, you can get the back­ground record check results in one busi­ness day. If you visit our loca­tion before 2 pm, you can get the results on the same day.

  22. I am aware, I have a crim­i­nal record. Can I get back­ground check for employ­ment, based on name and date of birth search?

    Your appli­ca­tion for back­ground check will lead to “incom­plete query results” and will prompt for a fingerprint-based crim­i­nal record check.

  23. Can I get police clear­ance from your agency under vul­ner­a­ble sec­tor check?

    Please con­tact your local police or visit their web­site for police clear­ance or back­ground checks under vul­ner­a­ble sec­tor search. We do not pro­vide crim­i­nal back­ground check for indi­vid­u­als seek­ing to check back­ground under vul­ner­a­ble sector.
