What is RCMP fingerprinting or RCMP fingerprints?
The fingerprint service provided by a RCMP’s accredited and certified agency. Worldwide Forensic Services Inc. is RCMP’s accredited and certified fingerprinting agency in Scarborough, providing electronic fingerprinting services for civil purposes.

I live overseas and need police clearance from Canada. Do I have to come to Canada to submit my fingerprints or your company can help to get clearance for me?
You don’t have to come to Canada for this purpose. We can email you the required forms, you can get your fingerprints taken on those forms and send them the originals to us via regular mail or courier. We will submit your fingerprints to the RCMP electronically and the RCMP will send the results directly to you or a third party via regular mail.

You can come to us for fingerprinting needs. We are accredited and certified by the RCMP for this purposes. We will take your fingerprints digitally and submit them to the RCMP electronically. No hassles.

What do I need to bring with me for fingerprinting services?
You are required to bring two pieces of acceptable identification (one of them must be a photo ID) and the application fees.
All fingerprinting applicants for Canadian Citizenship must bring a letter from Citizenship and Immigration Canada. This letter must include the address for 3rd party results and should have a CIC file number which will be included in your transaction. Please make sure you bring this letter with your permanent residence card for your fingerprinting session.

Do you take fingerprints on form C216C?
Yes we do. We take fingerprints with digital scanner and electronically transmit them as form C216C to the RCMP. You can get a hard copy at an additional cost.

Why electronic fingerprints are better that the traditional ink & roll fingerprints?
Electronic fingerprinting is much faster than the ink & roll fingerprinting. The RCMP normally process electronic fingerprint submissions in 72 hours, as compared to the months taken for processing ink & roll fingerprints.

How do I get my results?
Your application results can be sent directly to you or an authorized third party such as a family member, an employer, immigration or pardons agency etc.

How can I find out the status of my application once it has been submitted to RCMP?
The applicant can call us or send an email to confirm successful submission of fingerprints to RCMP. Unless authorized by the applicant, the RCMP does not release any further information to Worldwide Forensic Services Inc. The applicant or an authorized third party may inquire about the status of fingerprints submission by contacting RCMP Fingerprint Screening Services at 613–998‑6362 or by email civilnps@rcmp-grc.gc.ca

What is a Criminal Background Check or a Criminal Record Check?
A Criminal Background Check is a search of RCMP National Repository of Criminal Records to determine whether an individual has a criminal record. The search is based on an individual’s name and date of birth. A criminal records check may also include a search of a Canadian police service’s local records, which may reveal criminal record information that has not been reported to the RCMP.

You can walk-in to our location in Scarborough for name and date based background check or fingerprint based background check. You need to bring two pieces of acceptable ID and the applicable fees. Please visit ‘our rates’ page to get details about our fees.

How fast I can receive the result of a criminal records check?
Once an application is submitted, you can get the background record check results in one business day. If you visit our location before 2 pm, you can get the results on the same day.

I am aware, I have a criminal record. Can I get background check for employment, based on name and date of birth search?
Your application for background check will lead to “incomplete query results” and will prompt for a fingerprint-based criminal record check.

Can I get police clearance from your agency under vulnerable sector check?
Please contact your local police or visit their website for police clearance or background checks under vulnerable sector search. We do not provide criminal background check for individuals seeking to check background under vulnerable sector.
